IndieFolio Network and Istituto Marangoni teamed up for an endeavour to understand the next phase of fashion mutation from all young fashionistas. A design “dare” was announced and the challenge was to show a fashion transformation of any object/person/accessory. On the line was a prize to fly to the birthplace of fashion – the Istituto Marangoni campus at Milan, Italy.
About Istituto Marangoni
The creators of Moschino, Dolce & Gabbana, the art director of Ermenegildo, and even Rahul Mishra are alumni of esteemed Istituto Marangoni. It has created a fashion benchmark for almost a century and is located over international cities such as Paris, Milan, Miami, Mumbai, and more.
The institute partnered with IndieFolio and held the Designdare contest for design enthusiasts over all India.
What is Designdare?
For those of you don’t know Designdare is an online contest. If you are wondering why it is called Designdare because the contest theme was to do something daring like a “fashion mutation”. The transformation or mutation can be done on any object, person or any kind of accessory.
The entries are submitted online and after thorough consideration by the Istituto Marangoni Selection Committee, the very best are selected and awarded with exciting gifts and prizes.
These weren’t just any awards – these were a dream come true!
Yes, the winners won some of best prizes one could get such as Istituto Marangoni scholarships, iPad Pro, Amazon Gift Vouchers, and the grand prize of a scholarship to Istituto Marangoni in Milan.
Astounding, right?
100+ artists and over 150 entries were submitted. With so many entries flowing in, it was really difficult to choose the top best entries and winner. After careful consideration from the jury, Istituto Marangoni’s selection committee chose the best of them.
Priyanka Grover stunned everyone with her stellar fashion styling.

Shivangi Mishra, Himani Agrawal, Ipsa Bajaj, Prerna Bhatnagar and Vrinda Agrawal won a scholarship for undergraduate and graduate courses at Istituto Marangoni Mumbai Institute.
Priya Aggarwal and Mansi Arora were awarded iPad Pro whereas the winner of iPad was Saba Sayed. Various lucky contestants Megha Daga, Crystal, Tanvi Mungekar, Tina Jacob, Komal Khandelwal, Shivani Gunda, Urja Dawda, Apurva Pawar and Shweta Deshmukh won Amazon gift vouchers.
Designdare was an interesting contest and wonderful artists and design enthusiast were revealed during this campaign.
