5 Tips To Have Infinite Content Writing Ideas

A head without ideas. Every content writer has faced this.

Maybe even more than once.

And it’s not a good place to be in, right?

You exhausted every single aspect of every single idea in your brain and now, coming up with a new one is a daunting task ahead. One that seems impossible. The key word here is ‘seems’.

The next time you are stuck in a blogging rut, be sure to check the following tips to help you come up with another amazing blogging idea.

1. Filter out the News: A blogger can benefit from industry news sources but it’s important to know which news is to be researched more and which information isn’t worth your time. In order to squeeze all the information from a news story, bloggers often end up stacking piles of details that are mostly unnecessary. To cover a story, you need to know which parts of it are relevant. Cover it in a way that has something for your readers in it too. Maybe you can add a life lesson or much-needed motivation.

2. Revisit Your Old Posts: Did any story from the past take a new turn? Or do you have new information on a blog you posted a year ago? Revisit your old blogs and think of ways in which you can repurpose them. Old articles can be revived and recycled by rewriting them through different perspectives. Edit your old blogs, add some new data or write an updated opinion.

3. Keep Your Mind Open: Inspiration can come from the weirdest of places. More often than not, a content writing idea will hit you when you least expect it. Take a walk in the park or revisit that playground from your childhood. Don’t restrict yourself to the same routine every time. You’ll be surprised how many ideas are generated in your mind when you just stop thinking!

4. Explore A New Format: If you’ve only been doing listicles, try your hand at a longer form though still interesting text-based blog. If you generally consider one topic while writing, try combining different topics into one blog post. Present your information in the form of tables, use charts for statistics. Try adding cartoons and GIFs to make the blogs more interesting. Make changes according to the readership. Get creative!

5. Subscribe to Other Blogs: Read others’ blogs and analyse them. Find ways in which they can inspire you. You can even present your opinions on someone else’s blog or take an excerpt and turn it into a different blog post altogether. Whatever you do, don’t forget to credit the original sources.

The content writing horizon is yours to conquer. There is so much out there in the world that can act as your muse for your next post. Try the above tips and end your struggle in that deep, unforgiving blogger’s block pit.
