The Second Spotlight List with the Top Artists on BananaBandy is out!
We are very happy to present the second generation of Spotlight Artists. These are the top 20 artists on BananaBandy for the months from April to June. They were judged to be the best by both the community as well as our Spotlight Jury. Before we introduce our spotlight users to you, let us introduce our Spotlight Jury.
The Spotlight Jury is composed of 8 members, each of them having significant experience in and being respected members of India’s Design Industry. Here they are :
Akshar Pathak is the creative head at Zomato and the man behind Minimal Bollywood Posters and Tweetard.
Ameen Haque is the founder of Storywallahs, helping people discover and use the power of stories in their personal and professional lives.
Anant Mukim is the co-founder and the indecisive decision maker at Blurb box.
Anando Dutta has years of freelance experience as a communication designer and is now the Programme Director for Communication Design at ISDI.
Hari Krishnan is the founder and CEO at Excitoo Innovations and Infigo Labs.
Kiran Khalap is one of the top creative minds in the nation. He rose to the post of CEO and CCO at Clarion before founding India’s first end-to-end brand consultancy, Chlorophyll. He was also the first speaker for Design Dialogue, check out the video here.
Mahendra Patel is a typography connoisseur and the mentor at Leaf Design. He’s also part of the faculty at SID, Pune and MIT, Pune.
Nitin Tiwari is the editor in chief for Creative Gaga, the magazine that celebrates good design.
Praveen Raval is the country manager for Steelcase, a company that innovates in designing products, furnishings and services for the workplace.
Rahul Dacunha describes his job as “I create Amul ads every single day of my life.” He has also been a creative director and writes weekly columns with Sunday Mid-Day.
These were our esteemed Spotlight Jury members who have unanimously chosen the newest Spotlight Artists of BananaBandy, so lets waste no more time and present to you the users who are In The Spotlight!
In Alphabetical order:
Clinto Jagan is an artist from Kerala. Working professionally as a 2d animator he is also very interested in painting, drawing and sketching. His two most popular projects on BananaBandy have been Fire Fly and Old Truck.
Jamini Kavoori is a graphic designer, illustrator and icon designer. She loves innovation and creativity and she has showcased it best in her project titled Hogwarts Android Apps.
Prasanth is a CG lighting artist from Kochi and his keen eye for detail translates well into his works here. Check out his mushroom and 2d painting.
Rahul is the Creative Head at Citrus Inc Studios. He has a diverse experience in the fields of Digital Media. Visualization, Graphic designing, UX, Feature film compositing, TV commercials and Short Films. His best work on BananaBandy are Battle LA and Showreel.
Rajneesh has created some excellent work on BananaBandy this past quarter. His digital paintings have showcased some interesting concepts out of which the most intriguing one was his take on Movember.
Ramu is an illustrator and digital painter who is really good at creating portraits and digital illustrations. His best works have been Natyamani and Jimi Hendrix.
Ruchi Pathak is a young enthusiastic product designer. She loves travelling and experiencing new things. A student of MIT, her portfolio received great acclaim on BananaBandy.
Shemal is a final year student of interior design at the MIT institute of design. His most appreciated projects have been the Panton and the Duin.
Shigil is an artist specialising in illustration, poster design and mural painting. The Jimbolji magazine is one of the most intriguing projects that you shall ever come across.
Shiv Kumar is a graphic artist and illustrator from Delhi. His wall painting of Steve Wozniak and his doodles really captured the attention of the Jury.
Shrey Purohit is a graphic designer from Mumbai and the founder of CatchyRey. His graphic design projects have received great critical acclaim on BananaBandy, especially his Neymar and Berlin projects.
Shubham Madan is an automotive designer from the MIT institute of design. His portfolio had some really exquisite designs which won over both the audiences as well as the Jury.
Sill Naveen is a Bengaluru based filmmaker who currently works with Furlenco. His expertise in macro photography and videography shines through in his project titles Macro Life 2.
I live by the philosophy of continuously trying, doing and redoing till what I have as an end product gives a smile to my heart.
Snighda Sharma is product designer from MIT institute of design, Pune. Her project Sentio was an exploration of a 2d form in three dimensions.
Tanay is a photographer and Graphic Designer based in Gujarat currently working at Threedot Designs as a creative director. His project titles Luzmag was a brilliant display of his abilities.
Vimaldev is a Bengaluru based Graphic designer who describes himself as “Mallu guy living in India’s tech hub, trying to save the world from bad design… one project at a time.”
His graphic design skills really shone for his UI screens for Flatchat and T-shirt designs for CodeChef projects.
Youddh is a Gujurat based 3D artist specialising in architecture. He has posted some amazing projects on BananaBandy including the highly appreciated Bakeri Swara and Pandya House.
