So you’ve probably heard of graphic designers. If you don’t work around one or aren’t one, it can be hard to define exactly what that means. But that’s OK because we’re here to help. Have a look at the following videos and see what it means to be a graphic designer.
1.) Google’s logo on their home page won’t always be the same. On special days, you will see a Google Doodle to inform you about what kind of day it is. Take a walk into Google’s office to see what a graphic designer for Google Doodle does. It also touches upon what a graphic designer does in general at the start of the video.
2.) While the following video does come off as a bit of self-promotion, it’s worth noting that a graphic design has a variety of interests and can grow their skills in fields closely related to graphic design.
3.) Seek is a website in Australia that is also their most well-known job portal. This video from them shows you the life of a graphic designer in a textile design firm. It’s a nice and quick look at the kind of environment that a graphic design enjoys being in while still showing you the work that takes place.
4.) & 5.) There are two videos that you should see here. Luckily, they’re both small and pleasant. The first video shows you what a graphic designers desk will look like in an office and in the home. And the second video will explain what takes place during the day of a graphic designer or in this YouTuber’s words, a ‘marketing designer’.
And this is sort of a bonus video because technically, it’s about an illustrator who works on a freelance basis. What we like about the video below is that it doesn’t have any speech and it doesn’t just focus on the work. It takes you through her day, from waking up to chilling in the night with her partner in front of a streaming TV service before going to bed.
