5 Tips On Creating a Good Creative Project

Tips to creating a good creative project on BananaBandy

Here are some guidelines on how to post a great project on BananaBandy. Following these may not guarantee you views and likes but it will surely increase your chances of getting your projects featured and getting noticed.

1) Use a concept

Many artists just upload all the artwork that they have created in one project. Nobody wants to see a project that has 50 unrelated images all together.

Practise safe sex design,

Use a condom concept.

Make sure that any project you upload is about a concept. A photoshoot at a wedding, comics created about a character, the branding project for a brand, an animation video for a client, etc are all examples of possible concepts that various projects could be about. Make sure to mention the concept in the About section while uploading your project. Fill in the details column with the correct tags with the right spelling, the tools you have used to create the project and other information.

Eg: Portrait of Animals by Deepika Suman

2) Process is very important

We see the finished product, but we also want to know the history behind it. How were you inspired to create this artwork, how did it look when it was halfway done, what techniques did you use, etc.

The journey is as important as the destination. We are so caught up in our destination that we forget the journey, sometimes the doing is more important than the outcome.

The process of your creating the artwork is very important. However, make sure that the finished product is both the first and the last image of your project. This way, people can look at what you created, go through your process of creating it and finally, arrive at the finished product again. Remember to also write about your process by using the Add Text button to give out more details about your process.

Eg: Andy by Anshuman Kashyap

3) Choose a wise thumbnail

The thumbnail or the cover image of your project is very important. It is the only image that people are going to see and based on what they think of it they are going to decide whether or not your project is worth viewing. An appropriate image here is always to your advantage.

For want of a thumbnail the view was lost,
for want of a view the share was lost,
for want of a share the like was lost,
for want of a like the battle was lost,
for want of a battle the contest was lost.
So a contest was lost—all for want of a thumbnail.

The optimal resolution for a thumbnail is 288 X 288 pixels, so do keep that in mind while choosing the appropriate image for your project.

Eg: Zomato Work by Vishal Dutt

4) Use Multiple Mediums

A good project always tells it’s story well. Using the aid of multiple mediums to get your story across to your audience is something that will be always appreciated. If you have created a video, be sure to upload gifs of individual characters, a sound clip of the voiceover, stills from the background that you have created and much more. This is a great way to make sure that your process is depicted perfectly.

Sound, images, videos, gifs and a whole lotta love. That’s what makes a good project.

Use gifs, videos, photographs, sounds clips, etc to depict your work and the process that you went through to create it in greater detail. This may not be applicable to all fields but to those it applies, they should try to utilize it to earn some brownie points!

Eg: Kingfisher Animated Promo by Ritesh Varma

5) Fill ‘er up!

Always post completed projects. BananaBandy allows you to save projects as a draft. Make sure that you give as much effort to uploading your project as you put into creating it. This effort will surely translate into visible results for you. Take your time to post your project if you have to, but finish it completely. Fill in all the fields with relevant information and tags. Make sure your process is depicted correctly. You can also rearrange the image and text boxes in your projects so you can ensure that there is a coherent flow to you project.

We are judged by how we finish and not what we start with.
