Fashion designers have this amazing ability to turn sketches and illustrations become fabric and thread wonders. We give it up to good fashion related projects every now and then but these fashion design projects made more than just the IndieFolio team look twice. They have garnered their fair share of appreciation by being great fashion designers.

So here are some projects from talented fashion designers on IndieFolio that could even be sold in a store near you in the future. If you spot something here that ends up in high street stores, remember that we called it first. If you see a picture you like from a project below, click on it to see the whole project.

Colour Codes by Sneha Indulkar

Sneha is an Associate Fashion Editor at Ajio.com. Her eye for style and fashion makes it no surprise to us that she works for one of the fastest growing fashion brands in India now. Her project Colour Codes is a collaborative effort but if you look through her portfolio, you’ll find that she’s done fine work on her own including a project done with Alia Bhatt for Harper’s Bazaar and Kalki Koechlin for Grazia.

Inaaya by Shivangi Lahoty

A project done to promote sustainable fashion, the theme revolves around a bed-time story written by the designer and is imagined from the point of view of a little girl. It’s a fashion designer project with a heart of gold. You can hear her talk about this soon at our Creator Conversations. Be there and be inspired.

Sense the Essential by Mamta Chawla

Ok, you caught us. We admit that we enjoy the little details and the steps mentioned and the process as much as the final product. You’ll see what we mean when you see the pictures below.

POTLOI Chic by Sony Thokchom

As much as want to see what the garments will look like, these illustrations will do. For now. Sony Thokchom comes off as the kind of artist that a fashion designer would kill to have. His illustrations of clothing and pattern is so beautiful that we swoon every time we see it.

A cut ABOVE- LANVIN by Muskaan Vaish

She made the recent Spotlight artist list and once you have a look at her work, you won’t be surprised that she did. It’s great fashion design work that speaks for itself.  Again, we melt when we see the process and the work she took to get here.
